Amy Farid’s technical strength, timeliness and ability to adapt to any situation make her a favorite among designers, photographers and clients alike. Originally from the Midwest, Amy moved to New York via Greyhound to pursue a life in editorial hairstyling. She quickly landed a job at Bumble and bumble and there built a strong technical foundation in cutting and styling hair. These skills were soon put to use in New York, Milan, and Paris, and today Amy keys several shows during New York Fashion Week. A member of the Osage tribe and also of Middle Eastern descent, Amy brings inspiration from her rich ancestry as well as youth culture and the arts to her work, making her a unique creative force in the industry.
